Well, it's been a much busier December than anticipated. With the holidays, a PhD proposal and a chapter for a Harry Potter book to submit, lots of overdue fanfiction and two assessed essays to work on, I haven't found as much time for my blog as I had hoped. However, I did have the pleasure of recently of writing for The Mary Sue on Cosplay, Drag and the Transformative Nature of Living Out Your Fandom.

A very happy 2017 to you all.

Cosplay is a new found passion of mine and it gets on my nerves when people would criticize about crossdressing or not portraying the character as they should be. Cosplay, just like language, is a freedom of expression. We can never really constrict ourselves to what we know. It helps people find who they really are and makes us realize the things we were so confused about. It’s amazing that you were featured at the Mary Sue and I hope I get to read some of your fanfics anytime soon!
